ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out a grand search and combing operation in various areas within the jurisdiction of the Golra Police Station to curb criminal activities and ensure the safety and security of citizens.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Saddar Zone and aimed at maintaining law and order through strict checking of suspicious individuals, vehicles, and residences.
Prior to the operation, police personnel were given a detailed briefing about the objectives and safety protocols of the exercise.
Lady police officials also participated in the operation to ensure inclusive and thorough checking.
During the operation, 235 individuals, 200 houses, and 25 shops were checked. Similarly, 70 motorcycles and 15 vehicles were inspected, while 47 suspicious persons were shifted to the police station for further verification and legal proceedings.
The official added that the purpose of such operations is to deter criminal elements and strengthen public safety across the federal capital.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed the continuation of such grand search and combing operations across all police zones to eradicate crime and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
“Ensuring the safety of citizens is our foremost priority,” the police spokesperson reaffirmed.
