RAWALPINDI, Nov 12 (APP):A high-level delegation from the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency (NCA), led by its Director General, visited the Headquarters of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) here on Wednesday.
According to an ANF spokesman, Director General ANF Major General Abdul Moeed, HI(M), along with senior ANF officers, warmly received the visiting delegation.
The NCA team was briefed on ANF’s organisational structure, operational framework, and major achievements in the counter-narcotics domain.
The delegation was informed that Pakistan serves as a bulwark against illicit drug trafficking and contributes significantly towards global health and safety.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, explored avenues for enhanced cooperation and intelligence sharing, and agreed to continue assistance where required to strengthen collective counter-narcotics efforts.
The DG NCA appreciated ANF’s professional competence, operational successes, and ongoing commitment to combating the global drug menace.
