RAWALPINDI, Nov 12 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 3 operations across the country, recovered around 249.31 kilograms of drugs worth Rs 51.3 million and arrested 3 suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Wednesday.
He informed that 29 kilograms of heroin were seized from a vehicle near the Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, and two accused were apprehended.
In another operation conducted at the same location, 8.5 kilograms of hashish concealed in the shoes placed inside a passenger’s luggage were recovered.
Separately, during an intelligence-based operation in the Shakas area of Khyber district, 211.812 kilograms of hashish hidden in 11 polythene bags were confiscated.
Cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, while further investigations are in progress.
