MIRPUR ( AJK), Nov 12 (APP):Azad Jammu and Kashmir President, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, who is also Chancellor of the public sector universities in AJK, has appointed Professor Dr. Zakaria Zakir as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kotli (UoK).
“The decision to this effect was taken following interviews with three shortlisted candidates recommended by the Senate of the University of Kotli as per order of merit “, the AJK President office told APP on Tuesday.
After due consideration, the President approved the appointment of Professor Dr. Zakaria Zakir, who secured the top position in the merit list, according to President office’s official sources.
Alongside Professor Zakir, the other candidates recommended for the post included Professor Dr. Muhammad Afzal and Professor Dr. Syed Habib Ali Bukhari, the official sources added.
