LAHORE, Nov 11 (APP):The Lahore district administration removed 1,157 encroachments and took down 2,355 banners and flexes during the past 24 hours in a citywide anti-encroachment drive.
The operation, led by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza and carried out by the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) Regulation Squad, focused on major markets, commercial centres and various road corridors.
According to the district administration, all goods placed on encroached spaces were confiscated, while illegal banners and flexes were removed to reduce visual pollution and ease traffic flow. Officials reported that the ongoing crackdown is opening public spaces, improving road mobility and supporting efforts to restore Lahore’s historical urban character.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza said the operation will continue indiscriminately until every remaining encroachment is cleared.
