PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (APP):As part of the Dosti Peshawar Women Literature Festival 3rd Edition, City District Government Degree College, Peshawar, hosted a vibrant Cultural Exhibition and “Mehfil-e-Umeed-e-Nou – Umeed Abhi Baqi Hai” event.
The program celebrated creativity, literature, and cultural heritage, showcasing the contributions of affiliated colleges of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU), Peshawar.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmed of SBBWU graced the occasion as Guest of Honour, commending the dedication and creative initiatives of the affiliated colleges.
Mayor of Peshawar Zubair Ali attended as Chief Guest, jointly inaugurating the festival with the Vice Chancellor.
The dignitaries visited cultural exhibition stalls presented by the host college and other affiliated colleges, including GGDC Nahaqii, GGDC Khalisa, GGDC Mathra, and GGDC Chagharmatti.
Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmed, accompanied by Tashfeen and Dr. Hamida Bibi, also attended the Urdu Society’s literary session featuring Nazm and Ghazal recitals. Shields were awarded to the chief guests, speakers, and organizers in appreciation of their efforts.
The festival served as a platform for students and faculty to showcase their literary and cultural talents, fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community engagement.
