CHINIOT, Nov 11 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) under the supervision of the Deputy Director Operations conducted a raid on traders involved in selling substandard ghee.
According to the PFA’s spokesperson, laboratory analysis revealed that samples of ghee from various Karachi-based brands failed to meet the required standards.
As a result, a fine worth Rs.75,000 was imposed, he added.
More than 160 kilograms harmful ghee were confiscated on the spot.
Director General Punjab Food Authority, Muhammad Asim Javed, urged the public to consume only approved and quality food products.
He reiterated that the crackdown against adulteration and counterfeit food elements would continue across the province.
