ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):Parliamentary delegations from Mauritius, Russia and Syria have arrived in Islamabad to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC), being held from 11 to 12 November.
The Mauritian delegation, led by Member of Parliament Mohamed Eshan Juman, was the first to arrive, followed by a Russian delegation headed by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council O.A Belyakov. Members of the Russian upper house of parliament are part of the visiting team.
A Syrian delegation led by Dr Muhammad Taha al-Ahmad, Chairman of the Supreme Elections Commission, also landed in Islamabad to participate in the conference.
Senior officials from the Senate of Pakistan welcomed the visiting dignitaries at Islamabad International Airport.
The gathering will serve as a milestone for global peace, mutual understanding, and inter-parliamentary collaboration.
