ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Shahin Chowk Underpass project on Margalla Road early Tuesday morning and reviewed the ongoing construction work.
According to details, about 40 percent of the project has been completed. Minister Naqvi inspected the pace and quality of the ongoing construction activities, including the shuttering work, and emphasized that the project must be completed on time with the highest standards of quality.
He directed officials to increase the workforce to ensure the project’s early completion. “The completion of this project will provide great relief to thousands of commuters on Margalla Road by resolving chronic traffic congestion,” Naqvi said.
He added that the project will also facilitate students of nearby educational institutions by improving access and reducing travel time.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed the minister on the progress of the project, informing him that 85 girders have been completed and work on the pre-cast planking is finished. Construction on the retaining wall and ramps is currently underway.
The briefing further stated that work is progressing according to the set timeline and the project will be completed within the stipulated period.
