ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): A graceful memorial ceremony marking the fifth death anniversary of distinguished fiction writer, scholar, senior bureaucrat and politician Masood Mufti was held at the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL), organized by the Fact Forum think tank.
The event was presided over by eminent scholar and literary critic Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik, while renowned intellectual and columnist Kishwar Naheed and former federal secretary Syed Abu Ahmad Akif attended as guests of honour.
Prominent writers and intellectuals, including Prof Jaleel Aali, Farida Hafeez, Muhammad Hameed Shahid, Saeed Khalid, Dr Qaisra Alvi, and others, paid rich tributes to Masood Mufti, highlighting his literary excellence, intellectual depth, and national service.
Speakers emphasized that Masood Mufti’s intellectual and literary legacy remains a vital part of Pakistan’s cultural and ideological heritage, offering valuable guidance to the younger generation.
The ceremony was hosted by well-known anchorperson Ayesha Masood.
In her closing remarks, Bushra Mufti, Chairperson of Majlis-e-Ahbaab-e-Masood Mufti, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, stating that such commemorations serve as an important means of keeping Masood Mufti’s vision and ideals alive.
