Dengue on prowl as 41 new cases reported across KP

PESHAWAR, Nov 10 (APP):Dengue cases continue to rise across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the provincial capital Peshawar, as the health department confirmed 41 new cases in the latest report on Monday.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, there are currently 390 active dengue cases in the province. So far this year, a total of 5,497 dengue cases have been reported.
During the last 24 hours,10 new patients have been admitted to various hospitals, bringing the total number of hospitalized dengue patients to 29 across the province.
The report further stated that since the beginning of the year, 1,915 patients have been admitted to hospitals, of which 5,105 have recovered, while two deaths have been recorded due to the virus.
Apart from Peshawar, there are 8 patients in Nowshera, 12 in Mardan, 4 in Charsadda, 3 in Kohat, and 2 in Abbottabad currently under treatment.
Health officials have urged the public to take preventive measures and eliminate mosquito breeding sites to control the spread of dengue.
