QUETTA, Nov 10 (APP):The Balochistan government has initiated a comprehensive modernization plan for the Directorate General of Public Relations (DGPR), aimed at enhancing the department’s capacity to effectively communicate government initiatives.
The move aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to equip public institutions with modern tools and improve their outreach and efficiency.
Director General DGPR Muhammad Noor Khetran formally handed over a camera, laptop, drone, and other essential equipment to Divisional Information Officer Khuzdar, Shabbir Ahmed, representing the Kalat Division.
The handover ceremony was attended by Director of Information Tanveer Ahmed and other senior officials.
Noor Khetran confirmed that similar equipment packages are being distributed to all divisional offices across Balochistan, ensuring uniform access to modern tools for media coverage and documentation.
“The aim is to facilitate the effective coverage and projection of government activities and development projects,” Muhammad Noor Khetran said.
The DGPR emphasized the department’s role as a critical link between the government and the public, responsible for delivering accurate and timely information on policies, development efforts, and public welfare programs.
He noted that the integration of modern technology will enhance the department’s operational performance, improve the visibility of government initiatives and strengthen public trust in governance.
“We must use our professional skills to showcase the government’s performance and build public confidence,” Muhammad Noor Khetran added.
