FAISALABAD, Nov 10 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a factory producing substandard ‘khoya’ in the jurisdiction of Garh Police Station.
According to PFA sources, the raid was carried out on Monday after a tip-off. A team from the authority targeted a small-scale factory in Chak No 541 and arrested the owner, Mehran.
Upon inspection, the PFA team found that the ‘khoya’ was being produced with unhealthy ingredients, posing a serious threat to public health. The team seized suspicious materials and machinery from the factory and proceeded to seal the facility.
The factory owner, Mehran, was arrested, and a case has been registered against him for producing and selling unsafe food products.
