BAHAWALPUR, Nov 10 (APP):Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, inaugurated the latest STEM laboratory at the University Model School, Islamia University Schools Systems, located at the Baghdad Al-Jadeed Campus. The lab has been established in collaboration with the Bahawalpur Institute of Medical Sciences, Cotton Quality Private Limited, and other partner organizations.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of STEM education in aligning students’ learning with global trends in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. He stated that the new lab would provide students with the opportunity to benefit from the latest innovations in STEM education.
Director of Islamia University Schools Systems, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rafay, provided an overview of the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities at the institution. He highlighted that alongside a modern curriculum, the university places significant focus on co-curricular activities to ensure holistic development of students.
During the event, the Vice Chancellor also toured an exhibition of scientific models created by students, expressing appreciation for their dedication and interest in science and information technology.
The ceremony was attended by Deans Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mansoor, Prof. Dr. Irshad Hussain, Registrar Muhammad Shajiur Rehman, Treasurer Bashir Hussain, Director PR Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Principal Shazia Alvi, Tariq Imran Cheema, Assistant Director of the Islamia University School System, and other faculty members.
