ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a grand search and combing operation in various areas under the jurisdiction of Margalla Police Station to curb criminal activities and ensure public safety.
An official told APP on Monday that the operation was carried out under the supervision of SP City Zone, while ladies police officers also participated in the activity.
Before the operation, the police contingent was briefed about operational strategy and safety measures.
During the operation, police teams checked 75 individuals, 15 houses, and 5 shops, along with 40 motorcycles and 30 vehicles.
The official said the purpose of the operation was to eradicate crime and enhance security measures in the area.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has issued special directives to conduct grand search and combing operations across the district as part of efforts to tighten the security cordon around criminal elements.
The ICT Police have urged citizens to cooperate during checking procedures and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline Pucar-15, reaffirming that citizens’ safety remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
