KOHAT, Nov 10 (APP):In a series of coordinated search and strike operations, the police have made significant progress in their ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities across the district.
On the directives of District Police Officer, Shahbaz Elahi, law enforcement teams had recovered a cache of illegal weapons and narcotics, and apprehended the suspects, the police spokesperson said on Monday.
A team of Cantt Police Station made major recovery and arrests under the leadership of
SHO, Khizar Farid Khan.
The team conducted targeted raids at various locations, resulting in the arrest of six individuals.
Two rifles. 8 pistols, dozens of cartridges, 215 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice) were recovered during the raids, the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile in an action by City Police Station, a team led by SHO, Fayyaz responded promptly to a report of motorcycle theft, he added.
The suspect, identified as Sultan, allegedly stole a bike from outside a citizen’s residence. Through modern investigative techniques and swift police work, the outlaw was traced and apprehended.
The stolen motorcycle had been recovered, and the suspect was transferred to
City Police Station for further legal action, the spokesperson said.
The police registered cases against the accused and lunched further investigations.
