IUB VC hands over new houses to flood victims built with support of expats

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 09 (APP): Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, handed over keys of newly constructed houses to flood victims in Mari Qasim Shah, a suburb of Bahawalpur.
The project was completed by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation in collaboration with the IUB Flood Relief Cell and the Yelicon Organization. Under this initiative, 20 houses were built in Tehsil Alipur and five in Bahawalpur to provide shelter for families affected by devastating floods.
The handover ceremony was attended by Head of IUB Flood Relief Cell Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Hassan Mahmood from the Overseas Forum, Mian Waqar Akmal, Muhammad Aftab Gondal, Tasavur Aziz Bhagat, and Rana Amir Shahzad from Pelican Development Organization. Director Media and Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Executive Secretary Dr. Muhammad Khalid, as well as IUB employees, volunteers, students, and a large number of beneficiaries were also present on the occasion.
