NAWABSHAH, Nov 09 (APP): The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan held its monthly progress review meeting under the NDF-GAVI Project titled “Reaching the Unreached for Optimizing Routine Immunization in Sindh” at the NDF Hyderabad Office.
While chairing the meeting, Mr. Tariq Hussain Channar, Program Manager NDF, shared that NDF Pakistan is currently working in two Union Councils—Husri and Masoo Bhurghari—of Tehsil Hyderabad Rural. The ongoing initiative focuses on identifying and reaching unreached children to improve routine immunization coverage in the region.
He stated that NDF is working closely with community members through awareness sessions, mobilization campaigns, and household visits to encourage families to vaccinate their children on time. “Our goal is to generate demand and strengthen awareness about the importance of immunization at the community level,” he said.
During the meeting, planning was also carried out regarding the upcoming Measles-Rubella (MR) Campaign, scheduled from 17th November to 30th November. The team discussed strategies to ensure maximum coverage, especially in underserved and hard-to-reach areas.
NDF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting government health initiatives and ensuring no child is left behind when it comes to life-saving vaccinations.
