DG Khan DPO suspends officers over forgery

LAHORE, Nov 09 (APP): Under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister and Inspector General of Police, District Police Officer Dera Ghazi Khan Capt. (R) Tariq Walait has taken strict action against police officials involved in forgery.
According to spokesperson, a Sub-Inspector and three Assistant Sub-Inspectors, including ASI Mukhtiar Ahmed Buzdar, were suspended for allegedly preparing fake judicial documents using forged judges’ signatures and court seals.
The officers are accused of creating fraudulent judicial remand papers, bail orders, and warrants.
Following the discovery, the DPO ordered their immediate suspension and directed registration of a criminal case (FIR No. 712/25) at Civil Lines Police Station under Section 155-C of the Police Order.
A special inquiry team has been formed to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a detailed report. Capt. (R) Tariq Walait underscored that there is zero tolerance for forgery, corruption, or misuse of authority within the police force. “Only honest and dutiful officers are the true strength of this institution. No one is above the law,” he said.
He added that the accountability process will continue without exception to uphold departmental integrity and strengthen public trust in the police.
