ISLAMABAD, Nov 09 (APP): Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi paid rich tribute to the Poet-Philosopher and national thinker, Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, on his birth anniversary, calling him “a visionary whose message continues to inspire generations.”
In his statement, Naqvi described Iqbal’s personality and philosophy as “an unparalleled legacy that awakened the spirit of selfhood and dignity among the Muslims of the subcontinent.” He emphasized that Pakistan itself is “the realization of Iqbal’s dream,” adding that safeguarding this vision is a shared national duty.
“Iqbal’s thoughts remain a beacon of guidance for us even today,” said the interior minister. “His philosophy of Khudi (selfhood) instilled in our youth courage, unwavering faith, and self-confidence.”
Naqvi highlighted that Iqbal’s poetry carries an “eternal message that calls for reflection and action,” urging Pakistanis to follow the poet’s principles in striving for progress, unity, and peace.
“We must stay committed to building a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan by living according to Iqbal’s ideals,” he said. “For our youth, Iqbal’s teachings serve as a guiding light—recognize your inner strength and work hard to shape a brighter future for the country.”
Concluding his remarks, the minister prayed, “May Allah grant us the ability to act upon Iqbal’s thoughts and raise our homeland to new heights of development and prosperity. Ameen.”
