ISLAMABAD, Nov 09 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police successfully rescued a citizen who had lost his way while hiking on Trail-5 in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Sunday that a call was received on “Pucar-15” reporting that a person hiking on Trail-5, within the jurisdiction of the Secretariat Police Station, had not returned and could not be reached through phone.
Upon receiving the report, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq directed the SP City to launch an immediate search operation to locate the missing individual. Under the SP’s supervision, joint teams comprising the SDPO Secretariat, SHO Secretariat Police Station, and the Margalla Patrol Unit began a coordinated search in the hilly area.
Within a short time, the police teams successfully traced and rescued the lost citizen, who had come to Islamabad for sightseeing and lost his way while hiking.
The rescued citizen expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Islamabad Police for their timely and professional response, acknowledging their dedication and swift action.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq appreciated the police teams for their effective coordination and commitment, saying that ensuring the safety and protection of citizens remains the foremost duty of Islamabad Police.
