ITP issues traffic advisory for One-Day and Tri-Nation Cricket Series

ISLAMABAD, Nov 09 (APP): Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for the ongoing One-Day and Tri-Nation Cricket Series being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, deploying over 300 officers across the federal capital to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience.
An ITP official told APP on Sunday that special arrangements have been made to facilitate the movement of cricket teams from Islamabad to the stadium and to minimize inconvenience to citizens.

He said that alternative routes have been arranged for citizens in case of temporary road closures:
In case of Faisal Avenue closure, motorists may use Srinagar Highway, Club Road via Faizabad, or Park Road via Lehtrar Road.

If 9th Avenue is closed, citizens should take Sabzi Mandi Mor–Police Lines Chowk via Srinagar Highway, or from Rawalpindi side, use Golra Mor–Peshawar Mor–Srinagar Highway.
Those traveling from Margalla Road towards Khanna can take Blue Area–Club Road–Lehtrar Road.

The spokesperson said that ITP officers are present on service roads to guide citizens and maintain discipline. He added that traffic on Expressway and Srinagar Highway may slow down during team movements, especially during peak hours.
He advised citizens to plan their travel with extra time and remain patient during movement hours. The ITP is making all-out efforts to ensure that the public faces minimal inconvenience.
