BUREWALA, Nov 08 (APP): Central leader of Pakistan Lawyers Independent Group and member of the Pakistan Bar Council, Ahsan Bhoon, said on Saturday that the establishment of a constitutional court through the 27th Amendment was the core slogan of his group’s election campaign.
Talking to the media during his visit to Burewala in connection with the Pakistan Bar Council election campaign, he said the purpose of a constitutional court is to ensure justice for the common man. “The elite’s cases continue to move forward, while the ordinary citizen keeps struggling for justice — this must change,” he stressed.
Ahsan Bhoon added that the 27th Amendment should not abolish the 18th Amendment, as provincial autonomy is a vital constitutional principle. He also stressed the need to increase the provincial share in the NFC Award.
He expressed confidence that, like the Punjab Bar elections, the Pakistan Bar Council elections would also bring success for his group, Insha’Allah.
