LAHORE, Nov 08 (APP): The registration process for the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program has been made easier, with citizens now able to apply online from the comfort of their homes.
According to sources from the Housing Department, under the initiative, a total of 30,600 houses have already been completed in a short period, while 1,05,700 families have been provided with loans to build their own homes. Additionally, 69,200 families have received the second installment to continue their construction projects.
As part of the program, citizens can benefit from easy loan terms and attractive repayment discounts. Families who repay their loans within 1 to 3 years will receive a 20 percent discount, while those who repay in 4 to 6 years will get a 10 percent discount. These incentives aim to encourage early repayment and make homeownership more accessible.
The move to allow online registration has streamlined the process, making it faster, more convenient, and transparent. Applicants can now easily join the scheme without having to visit offices, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
