ATTOCK, Nov 8 (APP): Chief Executive of Shaheen Group of Companies and former candidate for the National Assembly, Malik Sher Khan Sidhryal, has said that the business community serves as the backbone of the national economy, and strong cooperation between the government and the private sector is essential for sustainable development. He said that the more the country promotes business and trade, the faster the journey toward progress will be, ultimately leading to the eradication of unemployment.
He expressed these views while addressing a graceful breakfast reception hosted in honor of Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at a well-known local hotel. The event was attended by a large number of business, industrial, and social personalities.
On this occasion, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan appreciated the hospitality and national spirit of Malik Sher Khan Sidhryal, saying that such gatherings not only strengthen inter-provincial relations but also accelerate the process of national development.
Malik Sher Khan Sidhryal further said that the issue of overloading has become a serious challenge for the national economy. Overloaded vehicles are causing billions of rupees in losses to the national exchequer every year. The destruction of roads, unnecessary fuel consumption, and rising number of accidents are increasing financial burdens and resulting in the loss of precious human lives.
He emphasized that a comprehensive policy and strict implementation of the law are essential to permanently resolve this issue and stabilize the economy. The business community also briefed the governor about the axle weight issue, upon which he assured them that their voice would be conveyed to the top level and that the government would surely take necessary action.
It is worth mentioning that both Malik Sher Khan Sidhryal and Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan hail from District Attock. These two distinguished personalities have been serving the nation through their tireless efforts in politics, industry, and social welfare.
