BAHAWALPUR, Nov 08 (APP): In a move directed by the District Police Officer, a senior police official has been placed under suspension with immediate effect due to unsatisfactory performance in a sensitive case.
According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Cant, Sub-Inspector Sohail Qasim, has been suspended and ordered to report to Police Lines. Inspector Asjad Masood, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as the new SHO of PS Cant, effective immediately.
Official sources revealed that Sub-Inspector Sohail Qasim’s suspension came after his failure to make significant progress in a sensitive case he had been assigned. His inability to advance the investigation led to the decision.
