Traffic awareness seminar held in Gujrat

GUJRAT, Nov 08 (APP): In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision of a “Safe Punjab,” the Gujrat Police organized a traffic awareness seminar at Punjab College Gujrat to encourage adherence to traffic laws and promote road safety.
The event was held under the supervision of DSP Traffic Gujrat, Zaheer Ahmed Janjua, following the directives of DIG Traffic Punjab, Waqas Nazir, and DPO Gujrat, Rana Umar Farooq.
Addressing the participants, DPO Rana Umar Farooq emphasized that following traffic laws is a sign of a civilized society. He highlighted the crucial role of road discipline and community involvement in reducing traffic accidents.
The seminar was attended by notable figures including Director (TRSF) Khurshed uz Zaman Khushali, Director of Punjab College Rana Muhammad Younas, and other dignitaries. Students were provided with valuable information on road safety and traffic regulations, followed by an engaging Q&A session.
Outstanding students were recognized with prizes, and a candlelight ceremony was held to honor the victims of road accidents. The event concluded with prayers for the departed souls.
DPO Rana Umar Farooq reaffirmed that Gujrat Police would continue to organize awareness activities to foster better traffic sense among citizens and reduce road accidents in the future.
