ATC grants bail to five accused in arson, police attack case

LAHORE, Nov 07 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday granted the post-arrest bail to five workers of a banned religious party accused of arson and attacking police officials.

The accused — Muhammad Sufyan, Amjad Ali, Muhammad Shehbaz, Nazim Ali, Asif Ali, and Muhammad Samiullah — were ordered to submit surety bonds of Rs 200,000 each.

ATC Judge Irfan Haider conducted proceedings on bail applications of the accused and announced the verdict on the completion of arguments by the parties.

Bhekhi police, Sheikhupura, had registered a case against the accused and they were charged with arson and assaulting police personnel during recent violent protests.
