CM orders inquiry into alleged custodial killing

PESHAWAR, Nov 07 (APP):On the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar has constituted an inquiry committee to investigate the alleged killing of Inzamam, son of Israr, belonging to the Aka Khel tribe.
According to the details, the committee will conduct a comprehensive, impartial, and transparent investigation to ensure that justice is served to the deceased and his family.
Meanwhile, the CCPO Peshawar has also formed a three-member inquiry committee to ascertain the real facts regarding Case FIR No. 1560/2025, registered at Police Station Badaber, Peshawar.
The committee will be headed by the SSP Investigation CCP Peshawar as chairman, with the SSP Coordination and SP Saddar CCP Peshawar as members.
The inquiry was ordered following reports from locals alleging that certain persons not related to the case had been taken into custody by the local police.
The committee has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation to determine whether any unlawful detentions occurred and to identify any lapses or negligence on the part of the police officials involved.
The committee has been directed to submit its report and recommendations to the CCPO Peshawar at the earliest.
