BEIJING, Nov 07 (APP): The 2025 Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum was held in Beijing on Friday, which was a gathering of senior officials, business leaders, and representatives from international organizations to promote deeper global economic ties under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Speaking on the sidelines of the forum, Sheikh Muhammad Shariq, Vice President of the National Bank and Chief Representative in China, said the forum marks a new stage of cooperation between China and the world, including Pakistan. He noted that the BRI has become a key platform for expanding trade, investment, and financial connectivity, helping partner countries achieve shared growth, China Economic Net reported.
“The Belt and Road Initiative is creating fresh opportunities for cooperation in finance, technology, and sustainable development,” he said. “Pakistan is ready to further strengthen collaboration with Chinese enterprises and global partners to advance mutual prosperity.”
Participants emphasized that the Belt and Road has played a vital role in boosting regional integration and building resilient supply chains.
The forum concluded with a shared commitment to deepen cooperation, attract investment, and support projects that contribute to inclusive and sustainable development across participating countries.
