KOHAT, Nov 7 (APP):Acting on the special directives of Deputy Commissioner , Rahimullah Mehsud, Additional Assistant Commissioner II Abrar Khattak has conducted a comprehensive inspection of various markets across the district to uphold food safety standards and consumer rights.
Accompanied by livestock department officials, the inspection team
visited multiple shops, food centers, and slaughterhouses.
The quality of milk, hygiene conditions, and measurement systems were thoroughly
examined at dairy outlets.
At slaughterhouses, the officials checked meat prices and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with public
health regulations.
In nan-baking shops, the weight and pricing of naan were scrutinized to guarantee that citizens receive quality products at
government-fixed rates.
The general stores were also inspected for expired or substandard food items. Where violations were found, fines were
imposed on the spot and stern warnings were issued to the shopkeepers.
Speaking to the media, Abrar Khattak emphasized that providing quality and safe food to the people was the
top priority of the government.
He assured that strict action against vendors selling unhealthy or substandard products would continue
without discrimination.
He further stated that such inspections would be carried out regularly to ensure better facilities and safe food items for the citizens the district .
