Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya visits Pakistan Monument; pays tribute to martyrs

ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (APP):Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, currently on an official visit to Pakistan, visited the Pakistan Monument on Thursday, accompanied by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Upon arrival, the distinguished guest was received by senior officials of the Interior Ministry and a contingent of Islamabad Police, which presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
Minister Yerlikaya laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha (prayers) to pay homage to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s heroes who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
During the visit, Yerlikaya also viewed the panoramic sights of Islamabad and the Margalla Hills from Shakarparian, expressing admiration for the natural beauty and serenity of the federal capital.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and Inspector General of Islamabad Police were also present at the occasion.
The visit underscored the close and friendly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, reflecting both nations’ mutual respect and shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of security and counterterrorism.
