RAWALPINDI, Nov 06 (APP):Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb and Punjab’s Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Shazia Rizwan on Thursday visited the Mina Bazaar organised at the Government Postgraduate College for Women, Peshawar Road, to promote students’ creativity, confidence, and self-reliance.
The guests visited various stalls where students showcased handicrafts, clothing, jewellery, food items, and art exhibits. Both dignitaries praised the students’ enthusiasm and talent, observing that such activities help young women build confidence, independence, and practical life skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Tahira Aurangzeb said, “Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, revolutionary measures are being taken in the education sector.”
Girls’ education, she added, was the foundation of national and societal progress, as educated women helped shape stronger families, communities, and nations.
Shazia Rizwan said, “The chief minister is taking multiple practical initiatives to empower women. Along with education, girls need to participate in skill development, information technology, and creative activities.”
