ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (APP):As many as eight Pakistani boys have qualified for the semifinals of the ITF Pakistan National Foods World Junior Tennis Championship J-60 2025 here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Thursday.
A large number of junior tennis players from around the world, including China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Nepal and the host nation, Pakistan, are participating in this prestigious tournament.
In the boys’ singles, three Pakistani Boys, Hamza, Mikaeel and Abubakar have qualified for the semifinals while in the boys doubles, five Pakistani boys moved in the semifinals.
In boys singles quarterfinals, Emre Atlamis (TUR) beat Muhammad Hassan Usmani (PAK) 6-4,0-6,6-1; Abubakar Talha (PAK) beat Ippie Matsushima (JPN) 6-3,6-7(3), 6-1; Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK) beat Kristijonas Milasauskas (LTU) 6-1,6-4; Hamza Roman(PAK) beat Nicolas Moravec (CZE) 6-2,6-4.
In girls singles quarterfinals, Haniya Aman Minhas (KSA) beat Yewon Lee (KOR) 6-2,6-2; Varvara Rubeatsova (RUS) beat Ecrin lal Yavuz (TUR) 5-7,7-6(3),6-2; Deniz Cakil (TUR) beat Polina Barabanova (KAZ) 1-6,7-6(5), 6-4; Karolina Ligai (KAZ) beat Serifie Pelin Sari (TUR) 6-0,6-0.
In boys doubles quarter finals, Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK), Kristijonas Milasauskas (LTU) beat Shehryar Anees (PAK), Asad Zaman (PAK) 6-1,6-1; Emre Atlamis (TUR), Nicolas Moravec (CZE) beat Chanapat (THA), Jun Woo (KOR) 6-2,6-1; Hamza Roman, Abubakar Talha beat Amir Mazari, Zohaib Afzal Malik 6-4,6-3; Abdul Basit, M. Haziq Aasim beat Ahtesham Humayun (PAK), Ippies Matsushima (JPN) 6-4,2-6(10-8).
