Special secretary inspects healthcare facilities in Lodhran

LODHRAN, Nov 06 (APP):Special Secretary Health & Population South Punjab,  Muhammad Shehbaz Hussain, paid a surprise visit to various healthcare facilities across in Lodhran, including District Headquarters Hospital Lodhran, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kahror Pakka, and Maryam Nawaz Health Centers at Alipur Kanju and Ain Wahan. He also inspected the “Clinics on Wheels” and the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health Lodhran.
During his visit, Mr. Shehbaz Hussain reviewed the availability and delivery of medicines, staff attendance, cleanliness, functionality of biomedical machinery, and oxygen supply systems at all facilities. He interacted with patients to obtain feedback regarding the quality of healthcare services and the behavior of doctors and paramedical staff.
The Special Secretary directed the CEO Health Lodhran to ensure plantation drive at all hospitals and health centers to help combat the effects of climate change. He emphasized that timely and efficient medical facilities must be provided to every patient without negligence, as serving humanity was the department’s foremost duty.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shehbaz Hussain stated that all available resource and manpower was being utilized to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services at people’s doorstep. He made it clear that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
He further said that dengue surveillance activities were being carried out regularly in all districts of South Punjab, and field teams remain actively engaged in dengue prevention and control efforts.
Highlighting the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz, he added that the “Sehatmand Punjab” (Healthy Punjab) initiative was being translated into action through Maryam Nawaz Health Centers, Mobile Health Units, and Clinics on Wheels — ensuring that even the most remote populations receive quality healthcare at their doorstep.
