PESHAWAR, Nov 06 (APP): A delegation of PTI, led by the party’s Provincial General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan, visited Bacha Khan Markaz on Thursday and met with Awami National Party (ANP) Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the overall law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other important matters related to peace and stability in the province. The PTI delegation formally invited ANP to participate in the provincial government’s Peace Jirga.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, ANP Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain welcomed the initiative, saying that holding peace jirgas for the restoration of stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a positive step. He added that political parties have a tradition of attending each other’s jirgas and engaging in dialogue on important issues, which promotes democratic and peaceful cooperation among all stakeholders.
