KARACHI, Nov 06 (APP):Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi visited District West on Thursday to review civic issues and chaired a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The meeting reviewed the development projects of roads, drainage, water supply, schools, health centers, and hospitals in the district. The meeting also reviewed the system and performance of local taxes, advertising tax, and property tax collection.
The meeting was attended, among others, by Deputy Commissioner Zulfiqar Memon, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Director Development Commissioner Karachi Office Naseem Ahmad Butto Assistant Commissioners, Chairmen of Towns and concerned senior officials.
The meeting decided that all Deputy Commissioners would hold meetings every month with Town administrations to review development projects, tax collection systems, and performance. They would ensure speedy work, timely completion of projects, and fulfillment of legal requirements.
The Commissioner directed all Deputy Commissioners to review ongoing development projects in their districts, hold meetings with concerned development and municipal authorities, visit projects, and inspect work progress. They should ensure that legal requirements are met in project construction and submit monthly progress reports.
The meeting reviewed the performance of ongoing projects in the district. Assistant Commissioners briefed the Commissioner on project visits, and senior officials of the concerned development and municipal authorities provided project details.
