PESHAWAR, Nov 06 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the formation of a 37-member high-level committee to address law and order challenges across the province.
According to official sources on Thursday, a major peace jirga will be held in Peshawar on November 12, bringing together political leaders, tribal elders and government representatives.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information, Shafiullah Jan, confirmed the formation of the committee and stated that it includes members from both the treasury and opposition benches, ensuring representation from all parliamentary parties.
He emphasized that the upcoming jirga would play a crucial role in shaping the province’s peace and security strategy.
Tribal elders from various regions have also been invited to share their insights and experiences. Following the jirga, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will finalize the terms and conditions for future peace initiatives.
