Protection of minority communities is the top priority of Attock police: DPO

ATTOCK, Nov 6 (APP): Protection of minority communities is the top priority of Attock police,  DPO Attock Sardar Moharran Khan said on Thursday while talking to media at his office.
According to details, Sikh pilgrims from within Pakistan and abroad are arriving at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib, Hassan Abdal, to perform their religious rituals on the occasion of Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday. To provide foolproof security to the pilgrims, Attock Police have deployed fresh contingents at various locations under the direct supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Attock, Sardar Moharran Khan.
In addition, eight DSPs are performing duties to monitor the security arrangements. Over 1,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed for the security of the Sikh pilgrims, including 21 inspectors/SHOs, 167 upper subordinates, more than 650 lower subordinates, and 33 lady constables.
Furthermore, 29 sections of Elite Commandos are on constant alert and patrolling to ensure the safety of the visitors.
On this occasion, DPO Attock Sardar Moharran Khan stated: “The protection of minority communities is the foremost priority of Attock Police. No mischievous elements will be allowed to create unrest. All Sikh pilgrims are free to perform their religious practices without any fear or restriction.
