Speakers announced renewed international support for Pakistan’s football revival and expanded youth development opportunities across the country.
Speaking to the media, Rana Mashhood said the government has placed sports among its top priorities under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He noted that Pakistan had made visible progress over the past years in multiple sectors, including education, skills and technology.

He said that the government, PMYP and PFF aimed to open new pathways for youth and ensure that football grows at every level of society.
Addressing the press conference, Sheikh Salman said he is pleased to return to Pakistan, calling the current moment “the right time” for football. He remarked that Pakistan held enormous potential in the sport, backed by a young population eager to compete.
FIFA President reaffirmed that FIFA and AFC would continue to work closely with Pakistan to uplift infrastructure, coaching standards and competitive systems nationwide.
PFF President Syed Mohsin Gillani said the federation is committed to restructuring governance, strengthening domestic competitions and scouting young players.
He added that the federation’s goal is to develop a clear and sustainable football structure in Pakistan through global collaboration and national support.
Officials concluded that the visit had opened a new avenue of confidence, ensuring Pakistan’s re-entry into the global football arena with unity, structured planning and strong international backing.
