ATTOCK, Nov 6 (APP): A group of over 2100 Indian Sikh pilgrims currently on a 10-day religious visit to Pakistan reached Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hasan Abdal, on Thursday after completing their yatra at Gurdwara Sachcha Sauda, Farooqabad. The pilgrimage is being supervised by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony.
During the visit, the pilgrims traveled in three separate convoys under strict security protocols. Officials said the visit remains part of the central religious events in connection with the birth celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak, during which multiple historic Gurdwaras across Punjab are scheduled to be visited.
Pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and facilities made available by the Pakistani authorities. Nishan Singh of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee said bedding, accommodation, langar, and drinking water facilities had been upgraded this year. Deputy Party Leader Gurmeet Singh Boh said Pakistan’s religious heritage sites remained well preserved in original condition and appreciated the ETPB for the management support extended.
Harmit Singh Chandu of the Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee told media that medical support, transport, and essential services were being provided continuously, reflecting positive treatment and hospitality for minorities in Pakistan.
