LAHORE, Nov 06 (APP): Pakistan Railways has made comprehensive and effective arrangements at Raiwind Railway Station in connection with the Tablighi Ijtima (annual religious congregation).
According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Railways on Thursday, additional staff has been deployed at the station for the convenience of participants, while special arrangements have been made for lighting, reception camps, medical camps, foolproof security, and cleanliness. To further facilitate passengers, the number of ticket booking counters and booking hours have also been increased.
In view of the expected rush during the congregation, a special train has been operated, and the Green Line Express has been granted a temporary stop at Raiwind Station from November 6 to 9. Moreover, several trains will be routed via Raiwind to make travel easier for participants.
Under the directives of Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways Inamullah, Divisional Commercial Officer Marzia Zahra has formed a team comprising Assistant Commercial Officer Chaudhry Bilal Qamar, Commercial Inspector Muhammad Akbar Gujar, Traffic Inspector Wasi, and Station Master Raiwind to ensure that passengers face no inconvenience at the station.
DS Railways Inamullah emphasized that all possible facilities should be provided during the Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima, ensuring that preachers and participants are extended the best possible services to perform their religious duties with ease and comfort.
