DC, DHO visits dengue wards to review facilities and patient care

HYDERABAD, Nov 06 (APP): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, accompanied by District Health Officer Hyderabad Dr Pir Ghulam Hussain, visited the Dengue Wards at Hilal-e-Ahmar General Hospital, Latifabad and Taluka hospital Shah Bhitai to review ongoing treatment facilities and patient care arrangements.
During the visits, they interacted with patients admitted for dengue treatment, inquiring about their health conditions, treatment progress and medical support being provided. On this occasion, the paramedical staff informed that essential medicines and treatment facilities are available for patients.
The DC emphasized the importance of continued vigilance, cleanliness and public awareness to control dengue spread, directing hospital administrations and health teams to maintain strict monitoring and rapid response mechanisms. He reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to providing quality healthcare and safeguarding public health through coordinated interdepartmental action.
The DHO briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the current dengue situation, preventive measures and awareness campaigns being carried out in communities. He also informed that field teams were actively engaged in larvae detection, fumigation drives and Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) activities across all union councils.
