RAWALPINDI, November 06 (APP): The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Thursday held a condolence reference to honor the life and services of its former president, Major (R) Amanullah Khan, recognizing his remarkable contributions to trade, community welfare and humanitarian causes.
The solemn event, held at the RCCI premises, was attended by a large number of dignitaries, business leaders and community representatives. Among the participants were Dr. Amjad Saqib, Founder and Executive Director of Akhuwat Foundation; Group Leader Sohail Altaf; RCCI President Usman Shaukat; Vice President Fahad Barlas; former presidents of RCCI; former Senator Mian Atiq; representatives from Akhuwat Foundation including Lt Gen (R) Faiz Jilani Malik, Junaid Farid, and Haroon Ihsan Piracha; Chairman ISE REIT, members of various trade associations and a large number of chamber members.
Speakers at the reference paid heartfelt tributes to Major (R) Amanullah Khan, describing him as a visionary leader, compassionate humanitarian, and dedicated professional whose contributions left a lasting mark on the region’s business landscape.
They noted that during his tenure as RCCI president, he worked tirelessly to strengthen regional trade linkages, promote entrepreneurship, and enhance business-friendly policies. Beyond commerce, he was equally recognized for his humanitarian efforts, particularly his leadership during national crises such as floods and earthquakes, where he mobilized resources and extended vital support to affected communities.
Colleagues and friends remembered him as a sincere companion, loyal friend, and inspirational figure whose humility and integrity earned him deep respect across business and social circles.
Prayers were offered for the elevation of his soul and for patience and strength for his bereaved family. Participants prayed that Allah Almighty bless his soul and grant him the highest place in Jannah (Paradise).
Speakers concluded that Major (R) Amanullah Khan’s legacy of service, compassion and leadership would continue to inspire future generations of entrepreneurs and community leaders.
