ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (APP): A delegation of students of Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) College F-11/2, Islamabad, on Thursday, paid a study tour of the Parliament House, Islamabad.
The delegation was welcomed by the officials of the Senate Secretariat on their arrival at Parliament House, said a press release.
“The delegation visited the Senate Museum, Senate and National Assembly Halls and others in detail,” it added.
On this occasion, the delegation was briefed in detail about the functioning of Parliament, the legislative process, the role of the Upper House and various committees of the Senate.
The students were given a comprehensive briefing at the Senate Museum on the parliamentary history of Pakistan, the formation of the Constitution of Pakistan and the various stages of the legislative process.
During the visit to the Senate Hall, the delegation received detailed information about the proceedings of the session and the legislative process.
At the end of the tour, the students described the hospitality and information briefing provided by the Senate Secretariat as very useful and informative.
