MIRPUR, Oct 11 (APP):The District Food Authority in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, has taken strict action against food production units and bakeries for failing to meet cleanliness standards on Saturday.
According to the details, a team led by District Food Controller Syed Adnan Ali Naqvi conducted surprise inspections of production units, warehouses, and moving vehicles carrying food items in Mirpur city. Several units were fined for violating cleanliness protocols.
During the inspections, Assistant Food Safety Officers Asif Riaz and Shahryar Khan, along with their staff, ensured that food establishments adhered to quality hygiene parameters.
Notices were served to establishments to rectify their practices, and fines were imposed on those found guilty of violating the standards.
The crackdown on unhygienic establishments is part of ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of food safety in Mirpur. The authority encourages consumers to report any instances of substandard food products.
