MIAN CHANNU, Nov 06 (APP):City Mian Channu police solved a blind murder case with the arrest of the suspected killer.
Police said here on Thursday that, the victim, Tahir Tayyab, was killed by his stepson who struck him on the head with a bat. The blow proved fatal, causing his death on the spot.
Initial investigation revealed that the motive behind the murder was a domestic dispute, as the victim had married the suspect’s mother, a union the accused never accepted. After committing the crime, the suspect fled to an unknown location.
A case was initially registered against unidentified persons, but during investigation, evidence led to the arrest of the stepson, who later confessed to the murder.
Police said the accused will be tried in court and brought to justice.
