QUETTA, Nov 05 (APP):As a result of the continuous efforts and effective planning of the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the district administration, water supply continued from various sources to overcome the water crisis caused by drought in Gwadar district.
According to the details, 1.47 million gallons of water were supplied to the airport station by the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) through the Shadi Kaur Dam pipeline.
Similarly, 1.271 million gallons of water were also supplied to the airport station from the Mirani Dam through 123 water tankers managed by the GDA.
However, a water supply could not be possible today due to a technical malfunction at the GPA desalination plant.
On the other hand, Public Health Engineering (PHE) teams provided 1.40 million gallons of water to Union Council Chip Kalmati and surrounding areas through 29 water tanker trips.
According to the report, less than 50,000 gallons of water were supplied to Peshakan through water bowsers.
Similarly, 300,000 gallons of water were supplied from the Pulari Pumping Station through the Central Sur pipeline, which made it possible to gradually supply water to the Panwan and Peshakan areas.
In addition, under Public Health Engineering, 130,000 gallons of water were ensured through 14 water bowsers between Kalato and Jiwani City.
According to the district administration, the water situation is being monitored on a daily basis so that maximum relief can be provided to the public.
