LAHORE, Nov 05 (APP):The provincial capital awoke to crisp, sun-drenched streets Wednesday as early November’s gentle chill settled over Punjab, offering residents a welcome respite from the lingering heat of late monsoon.
Meteorologists at the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) recorded a midday temperature of 24°C in Lahore, with humidity at a comfortable 45%. Light northeasterly winds of 8 km/h kept the air fresh, while visibility remained excellent beyond 10 km.
Across the province, similar conditions prevailed. Faisalabad and Multan basked in highs near 27°C, while northern cities like Rawalpindi and Gujranwala hovered at 23°C, with patchy morning fog thinning by noon.
No rain in sight. The PMD has ruled out precipitation for the next 48 hours, a boon for farmers harvesting late cotton and sowing wheat in the fertile plains of central Punjab.
