LAHORE, Nov 05 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Lahore Musa Raza on Wednesday visited Tehsil Shalimar to review municipal services including cleanliness, encroachments, road repairs, and drainage under the Chief Minister Punjab’s ‘Suthra Punjab’ vision.
Accompanied by the Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL), Assistant Commissioner Shalimar, and senior officers of WASA, the DC inspected sanitation arrangements and the condition of sewerage and water supply lines, particularly in Karol Ghati and Landa Bazaar. He issued strict directions for immediate improvement and directed Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) to ensure door-to-door waste collection for enhanced cleanliness.
The DC also reviewed anti-encroachment and visual pollution removal operations, ordering uninterrupted actions against illegal structures, banners, and posters. He instructed completion of necessary patchwork on the road adjacent to Landa Bazaar and directed WASA to expedite measures to improve sewerage and drainage systems.
Syed Musa Raza said that providing the best municipal services to citizens is his foremost priority and warned that negligence in cleanliness arrangements will not be tolerated. He added that regular field visits will continue to ensure sustained improvement in municipal service delivery across Lahore.
